Inspiration
Most of my work is nature inspired, by seasons or regions, mythology, folklore, and the folk wisdom of plants and fungi. I spent a lot of time taking pictures of things to identify later on hikes rather than hiking sometimes.
Kristi Picio ​
A lifelong resident of the West Coast, particularly the Cascade and costal regions. Studied anthropology, humanities and art in college, spent years teaching science in a museum. Parent, groundskeeper and gardener and forest wanderer.
